The Winnipeg Awit Vocal Ensemble is a Winnipeg-based ensemble celebrating the musical traditions of the Philippines present, Pasko sa Nayon (Christmas in the Village). The ensemble is particularly focused on strengthening community connection.

This evening, they will lead you through vocal performance, dance, and interactive moments, will share music rooted in Philippine culture while inviting audiences to learn, connect, and experience the traditions behind the songs.

The word “awit” is Tagalog for “song.”

Open to all. No musical experience needed.
